This homemade orange chicken recipe combines tender chicken pieces with a tangy and sweet orange sauce, creating a flavorful dish that's better than takeout.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 orange, zest and juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions:
Mix orange juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, cornstarch, orange zest, and orange juice in a bowl
Put the chicken pieces in the mix and let them sit for at least 30 minutes
Put vegetable oil in a pan and heat it over medium-high heat
Put in the chicken pieces that have been marinated, and cook them until they are browned and done
